Reasons I love my inlaws living 2 blocks away from me!!!

There's a couple reasons why having Roberts parents being able to see our every move can be a pain. They know who is at our house, and for how long. "I saw that so and so was over at your house last night. What all did you guys do? They were over there for a while weren't they?" LOL!! Robert's dad knows when he gets home from work, so if the phone rings the second he walks in the door, we always know who it is!

But, there are good reasons. Earlier this school year, Zeke missed the bus twice....that will never happen again!! He has to walk to the little corner down our road, so he watches for the bus go behind our house, then he knows he has time to walk to get on the bus....Robert's dad now also watches for the bus!! He always makes sure he sees Zeke walking out to the bus! Yesterday it was a little rainy, so I held off on letting him walk down there until the bus came down our road....The phone rang...robert's dad!! Then it quit, I guess after he saw that Zeke was on his way he just hung up. He came over later in the day and said, "Did you wonder who called you then hung up?" I said, "Nope, I have caller ID!!" He's like, "oh"!! Then today, the rain is comming down pretty good. I don't have our car today, so He came by and picked Zeke up and drove him to the corner! I'm sure Zeke wouldn't have minded walking in the rain!! He loves the puddles!! But I'd like my son to be dry when he goes to school! So, it's not so bad after all! My son loves his grandpa being so close!! He always talks about when he gets bigger, he'll be able to walk over there all by himself!! I'm thinking.....yeah right!! Maybe when your 16 and can drive yourself!! Then Robert tells me stories about when he was 6, riding his bike all over Bone Gap. I couldn't imagine that!! Not my baby!! I tell him, times have changed!! Maybe in a few more years....maybe!! The picture is from our front door, to where Zeke gets on the bus!
